on for space hover crafts. This is one of few to come in 3D
dubbed; The Kamikazi Hover Craft.
More on it a bit later...
This is yet another rebirth of new month, in the Gregorian; dubbed November. And just this morning, our blog administrator reported that’s she’s not going to be in the office because she has to give in some urine samples…
(Clear throat)I digress. We (meaning I) have been playing around with the camera- lens with a couple of friends, we call them The Figments. This is what we did this weekend thanks to the brilliant overcast Cape Townian weather. I do not even know what’s more interesting, the story behind the masks, the characters, the subject, or the final shorts themselves.
According to a noble friend of ours, Mr. Donovan Marais, the bright sunshine we had hoped for, for the shoot was not going to be good for the output. And he’s worked behind the lens for a few years now, and his on-location shoots have displayed quiet a remarkable grasp of the light manipulation, striking a fine balance between submitting to the laws that be, and concurring the laws themselves. Needless to say, he "digs" the shots. After I enquired if he thought the pictures were too “morbid”, He exclaimed, in a not so-containable vocal-outburst… “WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO CHEER UP DEBS!!? WHO ARE YOU TO TRYING TO CHEER UP!!??”… He’s going to be a good father one day with that attitude!
The Overhead Projector and Donovan are currently working on a project together. Check out he's photography on 4thterrordactyl via our link page. The rest of the pictures are still in the post-production process. So this is just an idea of the rest.
Thanks to the team that helped out for setting up the shoot. You know who you are!
